Terms and Conditions of Sale
Last update: August 17, 2026
The following terms and conditions apply when purchasing or using premium digital content published by Hod Publishing Ltd (“Hod Publishing”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By purchasing a product from the Hod Publishing store, you agree to these terms.
If you have any questions or concerns about these terms, please Contact Us for more information.
1. Payments
1a. Terms of Purchase
Hod Publishing uses Revolut Pay as a third-party payment processor to manage, authenticate, and process payments on this website. When making a purchase, you agree to provide accurate billing information and valid payment details, and to complete payment of all applicable fees and taxes.
1b. Payment Methods
Revolut Pay supports major international credit and debit cards, and may also support Apple Pay and Google Pay depending on your location. Available methods can vary depending on your region and device.
1c. Sales Tax
All prices shown on this website are exclusive of VAT. Where required by law, VAT or similar taxes will be applied at checkout based on your location.
If you believe you are being charged an incorrect amount of tax, please contact us and we will review the situation.
2. Returns and Refunds
2a. Purchased Premium Content
We voluntarily offer refunds within 30 days of purchase as long as the product has not been accessed. A product is considered accessed once its licence key has been activated or the module has been installed in Foundry Virtual Tabletop.
Our digital content is made available immediately after successful payment confirmation. At checkout, you will be asked to expressly request immediate access to the digital content and acknowledge that you will lose your statutory 14-day right to cancel once access to the digital content begins.
If you have not yet accessed the product, our voluntary 30-day refund policy continues to apply.
If you need to request a refund, please contact us and include the details of your request.
Nothing in this refund policy affects your statutory rights where digital content is faulty, not as described, or otherwise does not conform to applicable consumer law.
2b. General Conditions
From time to time, products may be offered at promotional prices or with discount codes. Changes in pricing do not constitute grounds for a refund, and requests based solely on pricing differences will not be accepted.
3. Product Licence and Use
3a. Licence
When you purchase a product, you are purchasing a licence to use that product. Ownership of the product and its intellectual property is not transferred to you.
Subject to these terms, Hod Publishing grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the product for its intended purpose.
Licence keys are intended for individual use and may not be shared, transferred, resold, or otherwise made available to another person.
3b. Permitted Use
You may use the product to prepare and run tabletop roleplaying game sessions, including:
- private sessions;
- public sessions;
- paid game sessions; and
- streamed, broadcast, or recorded game sessions, including monetised streams and recordings.
You may display and play content from the product to participants as reasonably necessary when preparing or running those sessions.
Nothing in these terms prevents normal use of the product by players participating in a game hosted or run by a licensed user.
3c. Restrictions
Except where expressly permitted by these terms or applicable law, you may not:
- sell, resell, redistribute, sublicense, rent, lease, lend, transfer, share, or otherwise make the product available to another person;
- distribute copies of the product or any substantial portion of it;
- use content extracted from the product independently of the product where you do not otherwise hold the necessary rights;
- use the product or its contents to create or provide a competing product or asset library;
- remove or alter copyright, trademark, attribution, or other proprietary notices; or
- circumvent technical measures used to control access to or distribution of the product.
If misuse of a licence key or unauthorised distribution of a product is detected, access to the product may be suspended or revoked where reasonably necessary to protect Hod Publishing or its licensors.
3d. Third-Party Assets
Our products may contain artwork, music, sound effects, fonts, 3D renders, software components, or other assets owned by and licensed from third parties (“Third-Party Assets”).
Third-Party Assets remain the intellectual property of their respective copyright holders. They are provided solely as incorporated into and for use as part of the product. Purchasing or using the product does not grant you any independent rights or licence to those assets.
You may not extract, copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, reuse, distribute, transfer, sublicense, sell, publish, upload, or otherwise use any Third-Party Asset independently of the product.
Some Third-Party Assets may be accessible as individual files on your device as a technical consequence of downloading, installing, or using the product. The technical ability to access, view, locate, or copy those files does not grant you permission to extract or use them independently of the product.
You may not use Third-Party Assets extracted from one of our products in another game, module, publication, website, video, software application, asset collection, or other project unless you independently hold the rights necessary for that use.
These restrictions do not prevent the normal display or playback of Third-Party Assets as part of the intended use of the product, including during private or public tabletop roleplaying sessions, paid game sessions, streams, broadcasts, or recordings otherwise permitted by these terms.
3e. Intellectual Property
The products and their contents are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Unless otherwise stated, all rights in the products and their contents are owned by Hod Publishing or the respective authors, publishers, artists, composers, licensors, and other rights holders whose works are incorporated into the products.
All rights not expressly granted under these terms are reserved.
4. Delivery
All products are delivered digitally.
Once payment is successfully completed, delivery happens automatically, usually immediately, through a licence key or similar access method sent to your email.
Purchases are made without account creation, so it is important that you provide a valid email address and keep your delivery information safe.
5. Support
Support is available through our Discord and email channels. We aim to provide helpful and timely assistance, although we cannot guarantee that every issue can be resolved.
6. Compatibility and Updates
Our products are built for Foundry Virtual Tabletop. We aim to keep them working smoothly, but Foundry, game systems, operating systems, browsers, and other third-party software may change over time.
We may provide updates, bug fixes, improvements, or other changes to our products. However, we cannot guarantee indefinite compatibility with every version of Foundry Virtual Tabletop, game system, operating system, browser, or other third-party software.
7. Limitation of Liability
We always aim to deliver high-quality products. To the extent permitted by law, Hod Publishing is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data, lost income, or business interruption, that were not reasonably foreseeable when the product was purchased.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or otherwise affects any statutory rights or remedies you may have under applicable consumer protection law.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you may also have mandatory rights under the laws applicable where you live. Nothing in these terms is intended to deprive you of those rights or of any right to bring proceedings in a court available to you under applicable law.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time.
Changes will apply to purchases made after the updated terms take effect. Changes will not retrospectively remove or materially restrict rights granted under the terms applicable when you purchased a product unless you expressly agree to those changes.
The date shown at the top of this page identifies the current version of these terms.
